Zabul is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is located in the south of the country. The capital of Zabul province is the city of Qalat. Zabul has a common border with the provinces of Kandahar, Ghazni and Paktika and also with the country of Pakistan. Zabul has an area of 17343 square kilometers and a population of 384349 people. Zabul has 10 districts, which include Arghandab, Atghar, Daychopan, Kakar, Mezana, Naw Bahar, Shah Joy, Shamulzayi, Shinkay and Tarnak Aw Jaldak. Almost all residents of this province speak in Pashto.
