Parwan is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is considered one of the central provinces of Afghanistan. The capital of Parwan province is Charikar city. Parwan Province has a common border with Baghlan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Kabul, Maidan Wardak and Bamyan provinces. Parwan has an area of 5,974 square kilometers and a population of 664,502. Parwan has 10 districts which include Bagram, Ghorband, Jabal Saraj, Kohi Safi, Salang, Sayed Khel, Sheikh Ali, Shinwari, Surkhi Parsa and Dera Turkman. All residents of Parwan speak in Dari.
