Paktika is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is one of the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. The center of Petika is Sheran. Paktika province has a common border with Paktia, Ghazni, Zabul and Khost provinces and also with the country of Pakistan. Paktika has an area of 19,482 square kilometers and a population of 775,498. Paktika has 18 which include Barmal, Dila, Gayan, Gomal, Janikhel, Khairkot, Mata Khan, Nika, Omna, Sar Hawza, Surobi, Sharana, Terwa, Urgun, Wazakhwa, Wor Mamay, Yahyakhel, Yusufkhel and Zerok. The residents of Paktika speak in Pashto.
