Paktia is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is one of the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. The center of Paktia is Gardiz. Paktia province has a common border with Logar, Ghazni, Paktika and Khost provinces and also with the country of Pakistan. Paktia has an area of 6432 square kilometers and a population of 611952 people. Paktia has 14 districts which include Ahmad Aba, Ahmadkhel, Dand Aw Patan, Gerda Serai, Janikhel, Laja Mangal, Mirzaka, Rohani Baba, Said Karam, Shwak, Chamkani, Zadran, Zazi and Zurmat. Paktia residents speak in in Pashto.
