Nimroz is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is located in the south of the country. The capital of Nimroz province is Zaranj city. Nimroz has a common border with the provinces of Farah and Helmand and also with the countries of Iran and Pakistan. Nimroz has an area of 42,409 square kilometers and a population of 630,000. Nimroz has 4 districts which include Chahar Burjak, Chakhansur, Kang and Khash Rod. Most of the people of Nimroz province speak in Balochi and Dari languages.
