Kunar is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is one of the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. The center of Kunar is Asadabad. Kunar province has a common border with Nuristan, Laghman and Nangarhar provinces and also with Pakistan. Kunar has an area of 4339 square kilometers and a population of 499393 people. Kunar has 14 districts which include Bar Kunar, Chapa Dara, Dangam, Dara-I-Pech, Ghaziabad, Khas Kunar, Marawara, Narang Aw Badil, Nari, Nurgal, Sawkai, Shaigal, Shultan, Sirkani and Wata Pur.
