Khost is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is one of the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. The center of Khost is Khost city. Khost province has a common border with Paktia and Paktika provinces and also with Pakistan. Khost has an area of 4151.5 square kilometers and a population of 636522 people. Khost has 13 districts which include Bak, Gurbuz, Zazi Maidan, Khost Matun, Mandozayi, Musakhel, Nadir Shah Kot, Qalandar, Sabari, Shamal, Spera, Tani and Tirazayi. Khost residents speak in Pashto.
