Description
Kabul Polytechnic University is the second largest university in
Afghanistan.
Polytechnic was established in 1963 by the government of
Afghanistan in an area of 72 hectares of land in north westof Kabul city.
The
building materials and equipment of the university were donated by the former
Soviet government and was built and designed by foreign and domestic engineers.
Until 2002, this university was called Kabul Polytechnic Institute, after that
it was renamed to Kabul Polytechnic University.
From the year of its establishment until now, the polytechnic has delivered many educated staff in the bachelor and master degrees to the society of Afghanistan. The Polytechnic currently has 8 engineering faculties, which are listed as follows:
