Laghman is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is one of the eastern provinces of Afghanistan. The center of Laghman is Mihtarlam. Laghman province has a common border with Kunar, Nangarhar, Kabul, Kapisa, Panjshiro and Nuristan provinces. Laghman has an area of 3,843 square kilometers and a population of 403,500. Laghman has 5 districts which include Alingar, Alishing, Dawlat Shah, Qarghayi and Badpash. The residents of Laghman speak in Pashto, Dari and Pesha-e languages.
