Kapisa is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is one of the north eastern provinces of the country. Kapisa center is Mahmud Raqi. Kapisa province has a common border with Panjshir, Parwan, Kabul and Laghman provinces. Kapisa has an area of 1842.1 square kilometers and a population of 441010 people. Kapisa has 6 districts which include Alasay, Hesa Awal Kohistan, Hesa Duwum Kohistan, Koh Band, Nijrab and Tagab. The residents of Kapisa speak in Pashto, Dari and Pesha languages.
