Ghor is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan and is located in the center of the country. The capital of Ghor province is Firouzkoh city. Ghor shares borders with the provinces of Herat, Badghis, Farah, Helmand, Faryab, Jawzjan, Daikundi and Bamyan. Ghor has an area of 36478.8 square kilometers and a population of 864246 people. Ghor has 10 districts, including Marghab, Charsada, Dawlat Yar, Du Layna, Lal wa Sarjangal, Pasaband, Saghar, Shahrak, Taywara and Tulak.. Almost all residents of Ghor province speak in Dari language.
